As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Tippets, aims to minimize the exposure of his patients to radiation.
Thankfully, at Reunion Pediatric Dentistry, we have the technology to offer digital X-Rays which significantly reduces exposure to radiation and provides the best available imaging to fully examine the dental structures of your child’s developing mouth and jaw.
Dental X-Rays are used to examine teeth that are coming in, identify underlying bone diseases, evaluate the results of an injury, or plan orthodontic treatment. X-rays allow us to diagnose and treat health conditions that cannot be detected otherwise. When dental problems are found and treated early, dental care is more comfortable for your child and more affordable for you.
On average, most pediatric dentists request radiographs approximately once a year. Approximately every 3 years it is a good idea to obtain a complete set of dental Xrays.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends dental X-Rays and examinations every six months for children with a high risk of tooth decay.
As always, Dr. Tippets will partner with you to decide what tests and treatments are best for your child. We aim to use the newest procedures and techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort.
We offer pediatric dental services including Dental Cleanings, Dental Sealants, Composite Fillings, Dental Crowns, Sedation Dentistry, Digital X-Rays, Tooth Extractions and Dental Emergencies.
